Job Summary
Comprehensive Dysphagia Diagnostic Care (CDX Care) is dedicated exclusively to dysphagia diagnostics. We provide onsite Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS) to post-acute care providers and healthcare organizations using portable diagnostic technology. By bringing swallowing diagnostics directly to patients in their care setting, our service model is designed to improve access to care, reduce transportation barriers, and support timely, high-quality clinical services.
We are seeking a clinically driven Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in the Livonia area. This part-time role offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced physicians and clinicians while providing diagnostic swallowing evaluations that inform patient care.
The ideal candidate is passionate about dysphagia management, values collaboration, and enjoys working independently while serving as a clinical resource for facility staff and interdisciplinary teams.
Compensation: Starting at $48.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS).
- Analyze study results and develop evidence-based recommendations.
- Educate patients, families, and facility staff regarding swallowing disorders and management strategies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, rehabilitation teams, dietary departments, and facility leadership.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practices.
- Represent CDX Care through professionalism, clear communication, and patient-centered clinical care.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current Michigan Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- Experience performing Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBS/MBSS) required.
- Experience evaluating and treating dysphagia in adult and geriatric populations preferred.
- Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification, or ability to obtain certification before the start date.
- Ability to report to the Livonia office location.
- Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
